FireFox expands Finnish gold drilling at Mustajärvi and Sarvi

FireFox Gold has expanded its exploration programme in Finnish Lapland after completing 56 holes totalling 13,945 metres at the Mustajärvi project and starting follow-up drilling at the separate Sarvi project. Drilling at Mustajärvi began in August 2025 with an initial target of approximately 10,000 metres. The completed programme exceeded that plan by almost 40%, providing a larger drilling database for FireFox’s planned maiden mineral-resource estimate.

Mustajärvi drilling advances resource work

Assay results remain pending for 25 holes, making the latest update primarily a drilling milestone. Core logging and sampling are continuing during a scheduled break in drilling, with operations expected to resume in August. FireFox plans to have two rigs operating in parallel once Mustajärvi drilling restarts. The expanded campaign is intended to improve the geological information available for resource definition, where continuity and confidence in mineralised zones are central to the next stage of evaluation.

Sarvi drilling tests new structural corridor

A second drilling contractor has been mobilised to Sarvi, located approximately 20 kilometres east of Mustajärvi and around 5 kilometres north of Agnico Eagle’s Ikkari deposit. The programme will investigate extensions around hole 25SA003, which previously returned 1.75 metres grading 27.48 grams per tonne gold. Recent magnetic, electromagnetic and gravity surveys have outlined a northwest-southeast structural corridor extending several hundred metres. Strong conductors have also been identified below the depth reached by earlier drilling.

The geophysical anomalies may reflect sulphide-rich mineralisation, although conductivity alone does not establish either the presence or grade of gold. FireFox is therefore advancing two projects at different exploration stages. Mustajärvi is moving toward resource definition, while Sarvi remains focused on testing a new discovery target. The next drilling phase will generate additional data alongside outstanding assays from Mustajärvi. The results will provide information on mineralised-zone geometry, continuity and the potential to define sufficient continuous tonnes for future metallurgical and development studies.
