Yugo Expands Bosnia Drilling with New Cajnice Polymetallic Campaign

Yugo Metals has started diamond drilling at the Cajnice polymetallic project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, opening a second exploration front while drilling continues at the Erak gold discovery within the company’s Sinjakovo licence. The initial Cajnice programme consists of four diamond holes totalling approximately 600 metres at the Pisonica and Majdan prospects. The drilling is designed to determine whether high-grade mineralisation identified at surface continues at depth and has sufficient continuity for future resource definition. Previous sampling returned grades of up to 1.9 g/t gold, 220 g/t silver and 13.6% lead. Other areas of the approximately 50 km² Cajnice licence have recorded copper-rich results of up to 10.5% copper and 155 g/t silver.

Drilling Targets Subsurface Continuity

The Cajnice campaign will test whether these surface results represent narrow occurrences or components of a larger polymetallic mineral system. Surface samples demonstrate mineralisation but cannot establish its thickness, continuity or tonnage. At Sinjakovo’s Erak prospect, previous drilling intersected 36.1 metres at 2.3 g/t gold and 10.4 metres at 2.6 g/t gold.

Yugo has moved to a second drill pad approximately 400 metres east along strike, near a historical trench that returned about 61 metres at 1.5 g/t gold. The drilling is intended to test whether Erak’s gold mineralisation extends across the intervening distance.

Two Exploration Systems Advance in Parallel

Cajnice differs from Erak through its broader gold, silver, lead and copper mineralisation profile. The first 600 metres of drilling will provide an initial test of the Pisonica and Majdan targets and could determine the scale of future exploration. Meanwhile, Erak remains the more advanced discovery, with drilling focused on establishing strike continuity beyond existing gold intersections.

Successful results at both projects would provide Yugo with two separate exploration opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while further drilling would be required to establish the scale and continuity of either mineralised system. The company remains at the exploration stage, with future development dependent on continued drilling and subsequent evaluation of mineralisation.
