Triple Flag Precious Metals has reached a settlement agreement with Steppe Gold to resolve outstanding arrears under an existing stream agreement and establish a revised schedule for future gold deliveries from the ATO mine.
Under the amended agreement, Triple Flag will receive fixed cumulative deliveries of 34,770 ounces of gold over the period from Q3 2026 to Q4 2036. Following the completion of these fixed deliveries, Triple Flag will receive additional gold deliveries equal to 1.5% of the previous quarter’s gold production, subject to a maximum of 500 ounces per quarter.
Stream agreement adjusted after outstanding arrears
The revised arrangement restructures the future delivery profile from the ATO mine while addressing arrears under the original streaming agreement. The settlement modifies the contractual framework between the two companies, creating a defined schedule for future gold deliveries over a ten-year period beginning in the third quarter of 2026.
Triple Flag updates 2026 production guidance
Following the settlement, Triple Flag Precious Metals increased its 2026 gold-equivalent ounce (GEO) guidance. The company now expects production of 100,000–110,000 GEOs in 2026, compared with its previous guidance range of 95,000–105,000 GEOs. The updated outlook reflects expected receipt of gold and silver deliveries associated with the settlement, along with fixed gold deliveries anticipated during the second half of the year.
Revised contract defines future delivery structure
The agreement demonstrates the role of streaming contracts in mining finance, where future metal deliveries depend on operational performance, contractual obligations and counterparty arrangements. The revised Steppe Gold stream provides Triple Flag with a defined long-term delivery schedule linked to the ATO mine, replacing the previous arrears situation with a structured future payment and delivery framework.
