Bulgaria’s caretaker government said on Wednesday it decided to extend by 15 years the term of the concession contract with local mining company Gorubso-Madan for the Petrovitsa lead and zinc deposit, in Smolyan region.

The extension was requested by Gorubso-Madan in order to extract the metal ores remaining deposits in the concession area, the government said in a statement following its weekly meeting.
