Kendrick Drilling Delivers High-Grade Rare Earth Intersections at Namibia’s Teufelskuppe

Kendrick Resources has reported wide, high-grade rare-earth intersections from drilling at its Teufelskuppe project in Namibia, with the results supporting ongoing work toward a maiden mineral resource estimate.

Certified assays from drill hole TKDD003 returned 59.78 metres grading 3.39% light rare-earth oxides (LREO), including a 4.35-metre interval grading 3.97%. Hole TKDD002 produced a further intersection of 38.2 metres at 3.14% LREO. The reported widths and grades form part of Kendrick’s work to establish sufficient mineralisation continuity for a larger resource model.

Exploration Target and Assay Correlation

Kendrick has previously outlined a target of at least 40 million tonnes grading approximately 3% LREO. The target remains subject to additional drilling and a formal mineral resource estimate.

Laboratory results also recorded a correlation of more than 0.82 with portable X-ray fluorescence measurements used during exploration. Kendrick could use the relationship to accelerate screening of mineralised zones while certified laboratory results are pending. Teufelskuppe remains in the exploration phase, with further work required to establish its mineralogical characteristics, processing recovery, infrastructure requirements and development economics.

European Supply Chain Relevance

The project is located in Namibia, while Kendrick is listed in London. The company is developing the project amid European industrial demand for more diversified rare-earth supply chains. Global rare-earth supply remains heavily concentrated in China, particularly in processing and separation, leaving European manufacturers exposed to potential supply disruptions and export restrictions.

This has increased interest in deposits that could eventually supply magnet, defence and advanced-manufacturing markets outside the existing dominant supply chains.

Further Drilling to Test Resource Scale

The next stage for Teufelskuppe will involve determining whether additional drilling confirms the continuity of the thick mineralised intervals and supports Kendrick’s proposed resource scale.

Further development work will also need to address metallurgy, processing routes, infrastructure and development economics as the project advances beyond exploration. A resource approaching the company’s current target would move the project’s focus toward these development considerations, while establishing sufficient scale and consistency remains central to Kendrick’s ongoing resource-definition programme.

Greenland’s remote project locations, limited transport infrastructure and Arctic operating conditions can affect both capital and operating requirements. The early evaluation of two potential port sites could therefore inform future mine design and the potential scale of development. Motzfeldt’s technical programme comes amid renewed interest in Greenland from Western governments and mining companies seeking alternative sources of critical minerals. European policymakers are seeking supplies of materials used in energy systems, defence, electronics and advanced manufacturing, while reducing reliance on highly concentrated overseas processing chains. Development Work Moves Toward Processing and Permitting The project’s advancement will depend on several technical and development factors, including processing complexity, logistics, environmental approvals, local engagement and financing. At Motzfeldt, the next stage will focus on whether metallurgical studies establish a technically viable processing route and whether infrastructure planning identifies a commercially realistic route to market. The 2026 programme therefore moves the project toward assessing processing, infrastructure and permitting requirements alongside its existing resource potential.
