FireFox Extends Gold Mineralisation at Mustajärvi in Finland

FireFox Gold has extended high-grade gold mineralisation at its Mustajärvi project in northern Finland, with drilling returning an interval of 124 grams per tonne gold as the company advances work toward a maiden mineral-resource estimate. The explorer reported results from six additional drill holes at the project in Finnish Lapland. Hole 26MJ021 intersected 2.0 metres grading 63.19 g/t gold, including 1.0 metre at 124 g/t gold and 0.38% cobalt. Another hole, 26MJ022, returned 6.0 metres at 4.38 g/t gold, including 1.0 metre grading 23.5 g/t gold.

Drilling Extends East Zone Mineralisation

FireFox said the latest results extend mineralisation down dip within the project’s East Zone and will contribute to ongoing work toward the maiden resource estimate. Total drilling at Mustajärvi has reached approximately 28,721 metres, with mineralisation identified across more than 2 kilometres of strike.

The results provide evidence that mineralisation continues beyond areas tested by earlier drilling. Establishing continuity is a key part of moving high-grade intersections toward a mineral resource that can support subsequent economic studies. The strongest gold interval also contains cobalt, adding another mineralised element to the intersection. Further work would be required to establish whether cobalt could provide meaningful by-product value.

Mustajärvi Advances Toward Maiden Resource

The planned maiden resource would mark a significant transition for Mustajärvi, providing the first formal estimate of the quantity, grade and geological continuity of mineralisation identified across the project. Mustajärvi remains an exploration-stage asset and has not yet demonstrated the scale or economics required for mine development. Further drilling will test whether the high-grade intersections in the East Zone can be linked into larger mineralised structures and whether additional zones could increase the project’s resource potential.

Finland’s Northern Gold Exploration

Finland has become one of Europe’s active jurisdictions for gold and critical-mineral exploration, supported by established mining infrastructure, geological datasets and a relatively mature permitting framework. Northern Finland hosts operating gold mines and several advanced exploration projects, providing a regional setting for continued mineral-resource exploration in Lapland. For Mustajärvi, the immediate focus is on converting approximately 29,000 metres of drilling and more than 2 km of mineralised strike into a coherent mineral resource through further drilling and geological work.
