Orosur Mining has intersected 267.4 metres grading 0.65 g/t gold from surface at the El Cedro target within its Anzá project in Colombia, while advancing permitting preparations for the Pepas deposit.
The first drill hole at El Cedro returned higher-grade intervals of 46.4 metres at 1.0 g/t gold and 2.15 metres at 3.89 g/t gold. The hole remains open at depth, with drilling expected to continue towards approximately 500 metres.
Further drilling to define gold mineralisation
Additional drilling will be required to establish the continuity, geometry and grade distribution of the mineralised system and determine whether it can support a defined resource. The initial intersection indicates a broad zone of mineralisation, but one drill hole cannot establish the deposit’s economic viability or overall scale. For Orosur, the priority is to determine whether further drilling confirms the extent of the El Cedro gold system.
Pepas advances through regulatory preparations
At the separate Pepas deposit, Orosur has completed a Plan of Works required for the next stage of engagement with Colombian mining authorities. The document represents a permitting milestone, but does not constitute final mine approval, a construction permit or an operating licence. Further regulatory progress will be needed before the project can advance towards development. The latest update included no new project financing, construction equity or binding offtake agreement. Both El Cedro and Pepas remain at pre-construction stages, with exploration and regulatory work continuing.
Anzá is primarily a gold project, although any confirmed associated copper could broaden its industrial relevance. The next milestones are additional drilling, resource definition and formal regulatory progress.
