Copper One completes Redonda Copper Property acquisition in British Columbia

Copper One Resources Corp. has completed the acquisition of the Redonda Copper Property, a prospective copper asset in British Columbia. The transaction adds to the company’s portfolio of copper, silver and gold projects. Copper One says the acquisition provides full ownership of the Redonda property.

Under a property purchase agreement signed on April 30, 2026, Copper One acquired a 100% legal and beneficial interest in nine mineral claims known collectively as the Redonda Copper Property. The project is located northeast of Campbell River within British Columbia’s Vancouver Mining Division. The company reports that all mineral titles were transferred to it on May 11, 2026.

Redonda property terms and transfer details

Uranium One Mining Corp. transferred its entire ownership interest in the Redonda Copper Property to Copper One as part of the transaction. The acquired interest is described as free of encumbrances except for a 3% net smelter return (NSR) royalty held by Homegold Resources Ltd. Copper One states that the NSR royalty will become payable upon commencement of commercial production.

Copper One paid C$1.1 million in cash to Uranium One in exchange for the property. The company says all conditions needed to complete the deal were satisfied, including settlement of outstanding obligations related to the property, execution of transfer documentation, regulatory approvals and fulfillment of contractual commitments by both parties.

Related-party structure under Canadian securities exemptions

The acquisition was structured as a related-party transaction under Canadian securities regulations. The companies relied on exemptions under Multilateral Instrument 61-101 (MI 61-101). The basis cited is that David Greenway serves as both a director and officer of Uranium One Mining Corp. and Copper One Resources Corp.

Copper One reports that cash consideration represented less than 25% of the market capitalization of either company. On that basis, it qualified for exemptions from formal valuation requirements and minority shareholder approval provisions under MI 61-101. The company says this structure supported an efficient closing while remaining compliant with applicable requirements.

Uranium One continues uranium and battery metals work

Following the divestment of Redonda, Uranium One Mining Corp. continues exploration and development activities focused on uranium and selected battery metals projects. The company maintains activities across Canada, Paraguay and Argentina.

Uranium One’s project portfolio includes the Quark Uranium Project, the Yuty Prometeo Uranium Project and the Nucleon Uranium Project. The company states these projects offer exploration upside and resource growth potential.

Copper One portfolio includes Majuba Hill in Nevada

Copper One says the Redonda acquisition complements its existing portfolio centered on metals used in the clean-energy transition. Its flagship asset remains the Majuba Hill Copper, Silver and Gold District in Nevada.

The Majuba Hill project is reported to be approximately 251 kilometers from Reno. Copper One states it is pursuing exploration and resource expansion through systematic drilling programs and ongoing technical evaluations.

British Columbia focus for copper exploration investment

The addition of Redonda highlights British Columbia as an exploration destination for mineral investors, according to Copper One. The province hosts deposits of copper, gold, silver and other critical minerals, supported by a mature mining sector and established infrastructure.

Copper One says its exposure to this mining region comes through the Redonda project, with potential upside tied to future exploration results. The company positions the completed acquisition as strengthening its exploration portfolio for critical minerals over coming decades.
