Cora Gold has identified additional gold mineralisation beyond the existing resource model at its Sanankoro project in Mali, potentially expanding the development’s resource base as the company advances a mine plan supported by approximately €107 million in contractual financing.
Drilling at the Selin deposit comprised 21 reverse-circulation holes totalling 3,748 metres, targeting extensions outside areas included in the current resource estimate. Results included 17 metres grading 1.65 grams of gold per tonne and 23 metres at 1.34 g/t, alongside other mineralised intervals.
The results indicate that mineralisation extends beyond the currently modelled resource boundaries. However, the new intercepts do not constitute an updated mineral-resource estimate, and further drilling, geological modelling and formal resource work will be required before additional ounces can be incorporated into the reported inventory.
Sanankoro resource and mine development
Sanankoro currently contains approximately 1.044 million ounces of gold, supporting a planned mine life of around 10.2 years. Exploration is continuing, with additional assay results still outstanding.
If further drilling confirms the continuity of the newly identified mineralisation, the company could incorporate additional material into future resource and reserve estimates, potentially extending the mine life or increasing production.
€107 million financing supports development plans
Cora Gold has a binding gold-stream financing agreement worth approximately €107 million, secured earlier in 2026 and intended, alongside available equity, to fund project development through production.
The financing was not newly announced alongside the latest drilling results. Instead, the exploration findings could strengthen the geological basis of a development plan for which funding arrangements are already in place.
The project nevertheless remains subject to final regulatory approvals, and financing drawdowns depend on the applicable contractual conditions. Drilling success and available financing alone do not permit full mine construction to proceed. The next milestones include further exploration results, an updated mineral-resource estimate, completion of permitting requirements and the transition to physical construction.
