Panthera Reports Broad Gold Mineralisation at Burkina Faso’s Bido Project

London-listed Panthera Resources has identified gold mineralisation across a 1.4-kilometre strike length at the Kwademen prospect within its Bido project in Burkina Faso, supporting a conceptual exploration target of 700,000 to 1.6 million ounces of gold.

Recent drilling returned an intersection of 56 metres grading 1.16 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, including 28 metres at 2.04 g/t. A separate hole intersected 40 metres at 0.59 g/t. The mineralised zone has reported widths ranging from approximately 100 to 330 metres. Panthera holds an 80% interest in the Bido project.

Exploration Target Requires Further Drilling

The estimated range of 700,000 to 1.6 million ounces is a conceptual exploration target, not a formally defined mineral resource or an economically recoverable reserve. The estimate does not establish the quantity of gold that can be mined commercially. Further drilling is required to determine mineralisation continuity and establish the tonnage and grades needed for a formal mineral-resource estimate under recognised reporting standards.

The latest results provide geological evidence of broad mineralised intersections across a kilometre-scale area, but additional work is needed to determine whether the mineralisation is sufficiently continuous and consistent in grade to support a larger resource.

Project Remains at an Early Exploration Stage

Panthera has not announced new project financing, a construction decision, institutional funding or a binding offtake agreement alongside the drilling results. Bido therefore remains at an early exploration stage.

The next significant technical milestone is the conversion of the conceptual exploration target into a formal mineral-resource estimate. Subsequent evaluation would allow the company to examine metallurgy, potential mining methods, capital requirements and economic viability in greater detail.

European Exposure Through Panthera’s Listing

The project’s European connection is primarily through Panthera’s London listing and investor base. The results do not establish a direct supply agreement with European industrial buyers. Gold also occupies a less central position in Europe’s critical-minerals strategy than commodities such as copper, lithium, graphite and rare earth elements. The significance of the Bido results is therefore chiefly geological, with the potential scale of the Kwademen mineralised footprint still requiring confirmation through further exploration.
