Despite its advantages, this model presents risks associated with geopolitical instability and regulatory changes that can disrupt operations. Europe’s reliance on external sources for raw materials means that while contractual control offers some security, it cannot fully replace the need for physical asset ownership. Future strategies must involve diversification and selective domestic development to mitigate these risks.
