TechGen Metals Unveils Historic Gold Discovery at Dalgaranga Near Ramelius Operations

TechGen Metals Ltd has announced a significant gold discovery at its Dalgaranga Gold Project in Western Australia, uncovering previously unrecorded historic workings alongside extensive quartz veins. Situated just 8km from Ramelius Resources’ processing plant and near a major resource acquisition, the find positions TechGen strategically within one of Australia’s most prolific gold corridors.

Armstrong Prospect: Hidden Gold Revealed

The Armstrong Prospect discovery includes a substantial open pit measuring 60m long by 4m wide and 5m deep, with historic production of 107 tonnes at 2.5g/t gold. Remarkably, these workings appear on no modern geological maps and have never been drill-tested, making this discovery particularly rare in today’s competitive exploration environment.

Managing Director Ashley Hood described the find as “a golden unicorn,” highlighting its exceptional potential within Western Australia’s high-grade gold belt. Field reconnaissance revealed multiple historic workings, extensive mullock and waste rock piles, and a northeast-striking shear zone featuring multiple quartz veins—structures that suggest significant depth potential.

  • Two additional shallow workings along strike

  • Multiple quartz veins visible in pit walls

Historical sampling by Western Mining Corporation returned encouraging grades, including 4.4g/t Au from quartz vein material and 2.2g/t Au from footwall quartz stockwork. Soil sampling also indicated gold anomalies, underscoring the project’s significant exploration potential.

Parallel Quartz Vein Systems Expand the Opportunity

TechGen has also identified a 70m-long, 5m-wide iron-rich quartz vein northeast of the Armstrong workings. This previously unmapped system runs parallel to the main prospect and has never been drill-tested, significantly expanding the project’s exploration footprint.

The alignment of multiple vein systems suggests a larger structural control on gold mineralization, with the northeast orientation consistent with regional gold-bearing trends. TechGen has collected 46 rock chip samples from both the Armstrong and northeastern veins, with assay results pending.

  • Initial drilling targeting high-priority vein intersections

With only the immediate workings historically sampled, the broader project area represents a significant untapped exploration opportunity.
